How Myst Almost Couldn't Run on CD-ROM
Cyan Worlds co-founder Rand Miller goes behind the scenes of the development of one of the best selling PC games of all time, Myst. The HyperCard-developed title ran into some snags when trying to run on the CD-ROM format. The game was released in 1993.

I loved loved loved HyperCard as a kid. Such a great app. WE made flashcard movies with it.

This explains in too much detail why Myst was a piece of crap, which would have been nice to know in 1993.
