Insane figure 8 car race
Figure 8 racing is a form of banger racing in which automobiles race on a track that purposely intersects itself, increasing the risk of collisions. Figure-8 racing is most common and popular in the United States and Canada, in contrast to the oval-track banger racing seen in Europe.

I used to go to these at the local Denver speedway back in the 50s. They were my favorite. There used to be a lot more accidents than this. In the final event (after the figure 8 and other races), they would simply crash into each other, and the last car that could manage to make a lap won.

Ha ha I have not seen one of these since I went to one as a kid. Though like Horace, the one I saw they were not really trying to miss each other. This made me very dizzy trying to focus on it.
