The Citarum River in Indonesia is the world’s most polluted river. One of the main polluters is the fashion industry: 500 textile factories throw their wastewater directly into the river.

Journalism at it's best — when it's focused on issues that actually matter and not Co2 delusions, Russia, and impeachment. I may just start checking my tags on clothes I buy to make sure they're not made in Indonesia.

  I don't think the factories in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, etc. are better for the local or global environment.
