The lava from the La Palma volcano continues to fall into the sea, forming a large "low island" that already measures about 200 hectares of maritime surface. The lava tongue, which is occupying more and more part of the Atlantic, is flowing more rapidly in recent hours and is solidifying creating a new land surface on the water.
