Same here, I don't get it either. I found the video on youtube and read the comments there for clues but just ended up more confused. Can someone explain please?

  Actually, I think she's sarcastically and condescendingly illustrating to the guy why she can't buy a new phone — cause she's broke. Phones are dirt cheap, so she must be pretty financially irresponsible.

Alot of people are in serious dept or in financial trouble without doing anything wrong. Look at the US most people in dept are there becouse of medical bills or education. If you dont find a job in your field you wont have money for a new phone since every dollar you pay back now are 2 in 7 years since you dont pay interest. Those people would be stupid to buy new stuff now.

  A lot of people are in debt true, but it’s mostly because of ignorance. If you live within your means and don’t spend money you don’t have, you can be financially successful. The only debt you should ever have to take out is a mortgage. My parents never went into debt and they taught me to do the same. Debt just forces you into perpetual poverty.
