Well, I know we aren't supposed to feed the trolls, but just to maintain balance in the force for those who are reading the comments, here goes. You have posted several comments on here all making the same two points. (1) It seems lots of people of COVID-19, and (2) other things have killed more people than COVID-19 has killed. Both points are correct. You can stop making these points. They are both correct. We all know they are both correct. Again YOU ARE RIGHT. WE AGREE WITH YOU. YES. YOU ARE CORRECT. Now it would be great if you would acknowledge two points the rest of us are making. (1) Despite all that testing you are talking about, the mortality rate for COVID-19 in the US is 1.4% according to the data we have right now, more than ten times greater than influenza. And (2) New York hospitals are not being overwhelmed by the people that die "every day" in New York, or by falls, or by any of the other things you have talked about in your posts. They ARE being overwhelmed by COVID-19. So, to recap, COVID-19 has a much higher mortality rate (as far as we can tell--the data may tell us differently in the future, long after the time when we had to make these decisions) than influenza or other common diseases, and it is coming on so fast that it is overwhelming health care resources in New York, in Michigan, and elsewhere. So as a person who will be first in line to care for these folks and put my life on the line, and the lives of my family members on the line, could you PLEASE just shut up for a while and stay at home for a hot second until we have a better grasp on the situation. I thank you. And my children thank you.
