This discussion was a very poor treatment of a very interesting subject. Sure, sound has a basis in physics and frequencies with certain relationships sound good to the ear, but that is a far cry from the premise that the beauty of Beethoven's music can be *derived* from mathematics or that Beethoven in fact did so in order to compensate for his hearing loss. Also, why did they start playing Bach in the know only one piece by Beethoven?
