a bit like a lazy student doing a presentation: A lot of Historic Aspects but nothing really mathematical interesting.

Seriously?! Seems to me like a very easy problem with a quite obvious answer. Mathematicians and statisticians got stumped by this? They chose the wrong job.

When they tell you one of the options has a certain answer, then that changes the odds. It might not be intuitive, but it's not hard to understand when it's explained.
