Evacuated meaning evacuated like the space right soo this would be using the same technology as the space shuttle? how would this make it financially feasible?

"it can be build for..." Ok, maybe it can be build for a fraction of the cost for a railroad system. But you would only build a tube. The main cost is to run this thing. You have to evacuate the whole tube system. You have run the magnet system, and so on. And building a tube, across an ocean, r u srs? It would have to withstand the preassure, the tides and earthquakes. Why not make it simple and build a bridge vom europe to america?

  it would have the same effect as building the tube. the pillars supporting the bridge trough the ocean would face the same problems: earthquakes tidal movements, pressure etc. this person has a pretty good idea just needs more thinking thats all..

  The example of building a bridge across an ocean, was just to show that it quite impossible to build a vacuum tube system across oceans. But it is interesting, that you thought it would be a serious suggestion to build a bridge. ;-)

  lol i know but it is pretty interesting but saw it on a show called mega engineering.. they are/were thinking about building a bridge that connected Europe to US thats the only reason why I considered the bride idea

The military has been using these for years to get to underground bases. Look it up.

  Why should they build underground bases? In a case of emergency, they use the nazi ufo to get to antarctica an to the inside of our hollow earth.
