Ambulance Drone - A life saving technology

Each year nearly a million people in Europe suffer from a cardiac arrest. A mere 8% survives due to slow response times of emergency services. The ambulance-drone is capable of saving lives with an integrated defibrillator. The goal is to improve existing emergency infrastructure with a network of drones. This new type of drones can go over 100 km/h and reaches its destination within 1 minute, which increases chance of survival from 8% to 80%!

Friends, be skeptical when someone reports numbers like "survival improved 8% to 80%". Maybe this is a fine idea and it will improve survival, but the actual rate cannot be known until it is used in the field.

Just FYI. Defibrilating with no prior HLR = failiure. If there is no preassure in the heart from pumping there is almost no chance of success. Also the 80% is bullshit. Even in Hospitals and wards where everyone is competent around saving somone with a heartstop the % does not go up to 80%. For that matter the percentage that survives with a heartstop outside hospitals are less than 1%.
